The suggested label dimensions are 2.5 x 6 for the 8oz bottle, 2.5 x 8 for the 16 oz bottle and 2.75 x 8.5 for the 32 oz bottle.
Will these bottles take a hot pour of 185 degrees?
No, the maximum temperature this bottle can withstand is 140° F, making it incompatible with hot filled products.

These bottles are made from PVC Plastic, which exhibits poor resistance to high temperatures and will distort at 160° F.

How does the lid make a food grade seal in processing? Does the product have to be heated like in a canning process or is it self sealing?
Please note that most plastic bottles are not compatible with hot filled products. If your product requires a vacuum seal, we recommend that you use Glass Bottles with Metal Caps that have a rubber gasket.

what does pet mean
PET is the type of plastic used to make this bottle and stands for Polyethylene Terephthalate.
PET provides very good alcohol and essential oil barrier properties, generally good chemical resistance (although acetones and ketones will attack PET) and a high degree of impact resistance and tensile strength.
This material does not provide resistance to high temperature applications -- max. temp. 140° F.
What are the case dimensions for the 16oz PET plastic bottles? Additionally, do you carry this bottle in 14oz? If so, what is the pricing, label dimensions, case dimensions?
How do I seal the bottles of sauce with this type of cap. Do I need a special machine or is it just a twist on type of thing. Is this seal meant for sealing bottles of sauce.
The Pressure Sensitive Inner Seals are designed to provide tamper evidence to help consumers identify whether or not a container has been opened prior to use. The pressure sensitive liners adhere to the bottle opening when the closure is applied and remain in place when the cap is removed. No extra equipment is required. Please note that this material needs a dry land area on the bottle and therefore is most suitable for use with dry products such as vitamins, foods and pharmaceuticals. I need the dimensions for the 16 oz and 32 oz bottle...depth, width and height. Im working on upc codes and need these measurements. Also I need weight of both bottles in glass and plastic along with measurements. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated. Also, I am in the market for some of your bottles but I live and need them in Maui Hawaii. I was really taken aback by the freight. Im looking to order the 16oz plastic bbq sauce bottle but I cant tell if Im looking at the one with the ribs with the longer neck or the lower cost one without the ribs. Which one will I receive if I order. I prefer the longer neck of the one with the ribs.
When ordering the 16 oz. BBQ Bottle, you will receive the lower cost PET Bottle with no ribs. Please note that the ribbed 16 oz. PVC Bottle has been discontinued.
Do you provide samples? We make a salad dressing and package in glass pint jars. Can you give me an idea of the difference between shelf life in glass vs. shelf life in PET for products like salad dressing?

Unfortunately, we are unable to advise regarding the shelf life of your product since it depends on many factors including product ingredients, head space, and the way the product is packed.

Do these bottles need to be washed prior to filling with sauce?
They do not necessarily need washing, but it is a good idea.
Bear in mind that these plastic bottles melt at a relatively low temperature (140F).
If I cook my BBQ sauce and let it cool (it has tomato base) to room temp after cooking, can I fill these bottles and they still be safe to consume? How long will they generally stay good and must you refrigerate after opening?
Yes you can allow the product to cool to below 140 degrees F and fill safely.
Unfortunately we do not have data to tell you how long the product will be preserved without refrigeration, there are too many variables which affect this answer. You will have to test and determine this answer for yourself based on your particular recipe and filling and storage conditions.
Do bottle need plastic sleeve, or seal
No, the bottles do not need a shrink band unless you want the package to be tamper evident.
